Hanuman Ansh turned out to be a sensational blockbuster in Bollywood after releasing as an unknown entity and creating a divine wave across the nation. The film is now releasing in Telugu on 9th October 2026, and it brings the same magical and devotional experience to Telugu audiences. Let us see how it works its magic here.
Plot
The story is all about a youngster Lakshmi Narayan Sharma (Shobhinaw Satyaa) and his extraordinary journey to become the famous Neem Karoli Baba. After a tragic incident in his childhood life, Lakshmi Narayan turns towards Lord Hanuman and starts his search for the divine truth and to attain spirituality.
What is that tragic incident that changes his life forever? How does a 13 year old boy in 1914 run away from home and go on to become the revered Neem Karoli Baba? What roles do freedom fighter Ram Nandan Bhosale (Chandan K Anand), Mahant ji (Anil Rastogi), his staunch follower Gopal (Bhagwan Das Patel), Sudi (Sugandha Malhotra), Radheshyam (Gautam Tripathi), Inspector Dharam Singh (Gulshan Pandey), Daroga Nasir Khan (Rajiv Mishra), Parvati (Neha Paranjpe), Banshidhar (Udaysinh Rajput), Shubhankar (Sadvik Sharma), Mr. Francis (Aleksei Danilov) and others play in his divine journey? The narration beautifully showcases how he transformed the lives of people around him and his followers with his miracles and simple teachings.
Performances
The soul of Hanuman Ansh is undoubtedly Shobhinaw Satyaa, who breathed life into the role of Neem Karoli Baba and delivered a performance of a lifetime. He virtually lived in the character. His body language, his innocent and divine smile, his subtle expressions and his realistic screen presence perfectly resemble the real Neem Karoli Baba.
The supporting cast is equally impressive. Bhagwan Das Patel as Gopal, the staunch follower of Baba, gets a lengthy and important role and he makes complete use of it with a sincere performance. Chandan K Anand as freedom fighter Ram Nandan Bhosale is very good and adds patriotism to spirituality. Anil Rastogi as Mahant ji, Sugandha Malhotra, Gautam Tripathi, Gulshan Pandey, Rajiv Mishra and all the other ten to fifteen important characters have performed well and made their presence felt. Their collective performances make the world of Baba look authentic.

Analysis
The first half of Hanuman Ansh is racy and highly interesting. It beautifully depicts the childhood happenings in the life of Baba and his journey in search of Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama. The episodes involving the freedom fighter add an extra layer of interest and the screenplay in the first half is decent and sets a strong devotional tone for the second half. The second half continues in the same spiritual vein and deepens the divinity. While the pace slows down a bit as it adopts a docu style narration to show Baba’s miracles, it never bores because of the underlying message. The pre climax and climax are loaded with goosebumps inducing scenes with chants of Lord Rama, Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman that will stay in your mind even after leaving the theatre.
On the technical front, Sadhu Sushil Tiwari is a big asset. His music spreads pure spirituality and divinity. The songs are shot in a realistic and authentic way and his background score elevates many sequences. Vishal Bawa’s cinematography is appealing and beautiful, showing the period of 1914 and the ashrams in a visually pleasing manner. The editing by Shankh Rajadhyaksha is sleek throughout except for a few slow moments. The dialogues are thought-provoking and effective, and the Telugu dubbing is neat and realistic. Production values are good for a 2-crore budget film. Overall, Hanuman Ansh is a divine and soulful watch that spreads positivity.
