Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas is a known face to the Telugu audience as she is popular for her work in films like Yamadonga, King and Kedi. Later, the actress got diagnosed with cancer and she had to bid adieu to the films. She underwent treatment for a long time and finally, got healed from the illness.
After getting well, she started working back in films. Recently, she signed a new film called Jonathan, under the direction of celebrated Malayalam filmmaker, Bhadran. This is Bhadran’s comeback film, after a gap of 14 years. The shoot of the film starts in January 2020. She is playing the role of an actress in this film.
According to the scriptwriter S. Suresh Babu, she is essaying the role of a top south Indian actress who is also the recipient of two national awards. Initially, Rima Kallingal got signed up to play this role but due to the changes in the script, production house, and the schedules, Mamta came onboard.
Soubin plays another lead role in this film. The shoot of the entire film will happen in Fort Kochi. Meanwhile, Mamta is also working for the Malayalam film Forensic and Tamil films Oomai Vizhigal and Ulle Veliye 2.
