The first step that Mega Daughter-in-Law Upasana Konidela has taken in the protection of wildlife started with facts about Rama Chiluka to the world then the second day was about calf and ecological imbalance because of human greed.
Now it’s the turn of Palapitta, the state bird of Telangana and the unfair stuff, suffer the bird goes through because of humans and the need to protect them is our duty. The young entrepreneur is working hand in hand with WWF India in brining more aware of protection of wild and she posted bringing awareness about Palapitta in her social media account as
“Palapitta or Indian Roller bird (Coracias benghalensis) is the State Bird of Telangana! hope this picture by @avigowariker makes u remember this forever. It is also called Nilkanth in Hindi due to its blue color & is worshipped during the Dussera season. Many birds are caught for this & die in captivity. ( check my insta story ) Almost every Hindu God has a Vahanam. My personal take is that – these animals were assigned to Gods hoping to be protected. I.e the mouse for Lord Ganesh, the tiger for Ayyappa Swamy, the Nandi for lord Shiva and many more. We as humans are supposed to protect them & not make them suffer. It’s absolutely unfair.
