Kalarippayattu Association of Telangana to Conduct Selection Trials for Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 2026
The selection trials are scheduled to be held on 26th and 27th September 2026 at LB Stadium, Hyderabad. All Kalarippayattu institutions across Telangana are invited to participate in the selection process and provide their students with an opportunity to showcase their talent.

About Kalarippayattu Association of Telangana
The Kalarippayattu Association of Telangana was formed in August 2026 and is affiliated with the Indian Kalarippayattu Federation (IKF), the national federation recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The association serves as the sole authorized state-level body recognized by the IKF to represent, develop, preserve, and promote the traditional martial art of Kalarippayattu across Telangana. The association has been constituted with the objective of providing a structured platform for the systematic growth of Kalarippayattu, supporting practitioners and institutions, encouraging youth participation, and facilitating the development of the sport in accordance with applicable national standards and guidelines. The association will work towards bringing together Kalarippayattu institutions, practitioners, and trainers across Telangana to strengthen the foundation of this ancient martial art and create opportunities for its continued growth, participation, and recognition.
