Koragajja Producer Trivikram Sapalya Gifts Luxury Flat to Director Sudheer Attavar Ahead of Release

Director Sudheer Attavar’s much-awaited film Koragajja was originally slated for release in January this year. The film’s audio launch was conducted on a grand scale under the Zee Music label. However, the makers later announced that the film would be converted into a 3D format, leading to a postponement of its release.

Speaking about the project, Sudheer Attavar revealed that the 3D conversion work is currently progressing rapidly in Kochi and Chennai. He added that Koragajja is being shaped to match international technical standards and quality.

Impressed by the growing interest and demand from international distribution companies, producer Trivikram Sapalya has expressed immense confidence in the film. As a token of appreciation for Sudheer Attavar’s relentless efforts over the last three years, the producer has gifted him a luxury three-bedroom apartment built by Shobha Developers, valued at approximately 1.75 crore.

Already being made in six languages, Koragajja is now also getting Assamese, Chinese, and English versions, further expanding its global reach.

The housewarming ceremony for the director’s new residence was held on Friday, followed by the performance of the Sri Satyanarayana Vratham. On Sunday, in the presence of journalists and distinguished guests, a rare and traditional “Agelu Seva” ritual dedicated to the Koragajja deity was conducted in Bengaluru.

Veteran actress Bhavya offered several delicacies traditionally associated with the Agelu Seva ritual. The offerings included Kucchalakki rice, horse gram and Basale sambar, mackerel fish curry, tender mango pickle, chicken sukka, toddy, and several other traditional dishes, all arranged in a ceremonial platter. The dishes were prepared by the director’s wife, Rajashree Sudheer, while producer Trivikram Sapalya and executive producer Vidyadhar Shetty assisted Bhavya during the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, actress Bhavya said, “Koragajja has strengthened my devotion to the deity even more. I have been associated with every major event related to the film and have developed a special bond with the entire team. In the movie, I portray Rani Panjanadai, the woman who performs Agelu Seva for Koragajja for the first time. Today, I was blessed with the opportunity to perform the same ritual in real life during the director’s housewarming ceremony. I truly feel fortunate and blessed.”

Producer Trivikram Sapalya stated, “International distributors from Hong Kong, Beijing, and several other regions have come forward to release Koragajja in overseas markets, including China. The film’s budget has already crossed 40 crore. Despite the scale of investment, our confidence and happiness have only grown stronger. As a mark of appreciation for the director’s dedication and commitment over the last three years, I am gifting him this apartment.”

Executive producer and editor Vidyadhar Shetty confirmed that the team is making arrangements to release Koragajja in August this year.
