Analysis:
Director Vinoth Kumar has takes a simple plot but with engaging screenplay he manages to sustain interest. The setting is right and the treatment is done in a logical manner. The film gets gripping towards interval and sets expectations for the second half with a solid interval block. But, the second half gets slow and story doesnt move forwards. But, it remains only for sometime and the stage is set for the final 40 minute emotional and action ride. Vishal in his tailor made role breaths life to the proceedings. The action sequences deserve a special mention and stand as major highlight in the film.
Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music in songs could have been better. His BGM is top-notch in action scenes. Cinematography by Balasuramaniem and Balakrishna Kolli is impressive. The production values are of good quality and did an impressive job with dubbing.
Rating: 3 / 5
Bottom-line: Intense & Emotional Action Film
