A group of happy-go-lucky young friends batch embark on a dream trip to Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. They explore the lengths and breadths of the hill town, including the popular Guna caves originally known as Devil’s Kitchen where Kamal Haasan’s Gunaa was shot. Unfortunately, one of the friends falls into one of the deepest pits in the cave, leaving the others in panic. The rest is about the rescue mission to save the guy.

As the trailer suggests, the film is also about hope and grit. As is known, it is based on a true story. While the initial portions show the friendship of the batch, the latter half is filled with emotions and thrills. Director Chidambaram pulled off a brilliantly crafted survival thriller.

The right casting brings authenticity to the narrative. The production design and production values are excellent, whereas Shyju Khalid captured the landscapes of Kodaikanal strikingly. The background score by Sushin Shyam sets different moods. The trailer looks highly promising and sets the ball rolling for the movie. The movie is in safe hands with Mythri Movie Makers backing the Telugu version. The superlative quality in dubbing gives us a feel of watching a straight movie.
