Analysis:
To present real incidents with same impact requires conviction and tremendous research. It also needs proper casting and recreating environment to make the audience connect with the ongoing happenings on screen. Director Chidambaram and his team checked them all and delivers a gripping tale that revolves mainly around human emotions, laced with friendship.
Though the initial parts look normal and feels stretched to build the world and establish the characters, There’s a strong reason for everything established in the first 20 minutes, which works brilliantly when recalled at the end. The film gains momentum once the story shifts to Kodaikanal. When one of the friends falls into the pit, the emotions explored in a heart touching manner. The way the childhood portions are linked to the main incident is brilliant.
Terrific background score by Shusin Shyam complemented by Shyju Khalid’s extraordinary visuals. The placement of the iconic song “Priyathama Neevachata Kusalama” is so perfect that induces goosebumps and the idea is clap worthy. Mythri Movie Makers deserves special.mwntion for bringing this impressive survival emotional thriller to Telugu.
