Nagarjuna Akkineni teamed up with Raghava Lawrence for the first time, for the movie Mass. The film became one of the highest grosser in Nagarjuna’s career. Nagarjuna under Annapurna Studios bankrolled the project and Devi Sri Prasad scored the music. Charmee Kaur and Jyothika played the leading ladies. Sunil, Rahul Dev, Raghuvaran, Sameer, Balayya and others played crucial roles.
The movie released today, 15 years ago and on this occasion, Annapurna Studios tweeted the video link of the movie and wrote, “Celebrating the anniversary of one of our highest grosser #Mass !”
According to the film, Nagarjuna Akkineni plays a role with dual shades where he is seen as Mass, an orphan, who bonds well with his landlord’s son Adi. Mass falls in love with a local gangster’s daughter which becomes the conflict in the tale. After the gangsters’ gang kill Adi, Mass sets on seeking out revenge, leading to a happy ending.
