‘MAA’ Treasurer Siva Balaji said, “We have been providing a pension to Pavala Shyamala ever since she became a member of ‘MAA’. In the past, Pawan Kalyan garu contributed Rs. 1 lakh. In 2019, this issue was brought to Chiranjeevi garu’s attention. Apart from the fund he provided, he also helped her get free membership in ‘MAA’.”

He further said, “Whenever she faced an issue, she would come forward through the media. She was not comfortable staying in any old-age home or shelter. We conducted her last rites with dignity at Maha Prasthanam. The elders of ‘MAA’ had promised that we would also take care of her daughter Madhavi.”

“However, Madhavi is not a member of ‘MAA’, so we cannot directly use the association’s funds for her. We discussed this matter for the past month. Manik garu spoke to the Ramanachari Foundation, and they agreed to take care of her food, accommodation and physiotherapy. We have appointed a caretaker for her,” he added.

Siva Balaji also appealed to those willing to help Madhavi to contribute through ‘MAA’. “Many people have been calling us saying they want to help. Those who wish to contribute can donate to ‘MAA’, and we will use those funds for Madhavi’s welfare. Naresh garu and Murali Mohan garu have already donated Rs. 50,000 each,” he said.

Joint Secretary Karate Kalyani said that ‘MAA’ had never ignored Pavala Shyamala and had always stood by her.
“Those who criticise ‘MAA’ should ideally spend even one day taking care of her at home. It is easy to speak, but helping someone is difficult. Under the leadership of ManchuVishnu Babu, we successfully carried out several welfare programmes. We also conducted Pavala Shyamala’s last rites with dignity,” she said.

She added, “We are now taking care of her daughter Madhavi as well. Our aim is to help her become self-reliant. Manik anna and I approached Ramanachari garu, and with the support of his foundation, Madhavi is being taken care of. We have arranged for a caretaker. Please do not malign ‘MAA’. I request everyone who criticises the association to also come forward and extend their support.”

EC member Vadlapatla said that ‘MAA’ had been providing a pension to Pavala Shyamala since she became a member.
“We have always stood by her. Members of ‘MAA’ even came forward to take her ashes to Kashi. Instead of focusing only on controversies surrounding ‘MAA’, please also highlight the good work being done by the association,” he said.

EC Member Manik said: ‘Madhavi Is Like Our Own Child’

EC member Manik said that ‘MAA’ had never neglected Pavala Shyamala.
“Many people tried to malign ‘MAA’. I request those who speak about the issue and those who make statements to come forward and help. The Ramanachari Foundation has taken responsibility for Pavala Shyamala’s daughter Madhavi. ‘MAA’ will take care of Madhavi like our own child,” he said.

He added that the ‘MAA’ representatives personally met Ramanachari garu and explained Madhavi’s situation. “He took responsibility for everything. At Anand Nilayam, all the facilities required for her are being provided. They have assured us that she will be taken care of like their own child,” Manik said.

EC Member Shashank said ‘We Are One Family’

EC member Shashank said that having Pavala Shyamala as part of the film industry was a matter of pride.

“An organisation like ‘MAA’ has always stood by her. We are proving that we are one family. Even now, we have been extending support to several artistes. Under Vishnu Babu’s leadership, many welfare activities have been carried out over the past four years,” he said.

“Instead of criticising ‘MAA’, I request everyone to offer constructive suggestions and extend financial support wherever possible,” Shashank added.

Speaking on the occasion, Madhavi said, “Earlier, ‘MAA’ supported my mother and me. Now, Vishnu garu and the members of ‘MAA’ have also supported me. I request them to continue extending the same support to me. I also appeal to the media not to distort or misrepresent things that I have not said.”
