Happening Diva Pooja Hegde, who is busy with Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films, has bagged not one but two titles at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2022. She bagged the Best Actress in a Leading Role title for her performance in the 2021 Telugu language film Most Eligible Bachelor. In this romantic comedy, Pooja did the role of Vibha, a standup comedian co-starring Akhil Akkineni.
Pooja also won Youth Icon South (Female) Award at the star-studded affair and added she will always cherish them. Taking her Instagram handle, Pooja Hegde celebrated the win by dropping pictures of herself with the trophies.. She also penned an emotional note in which she thanked everyone for voting for her and the makers of Most Eligible Bachelor for giving her an influential role. Pooja Hegde also asked her fans to keep working and mentioned how being her “authentic self” paid off.
In her award speech, Pooja Hegde says, ” Thank You so much. I think the biggest compliment I ever get is I am known for my characters or my songs. I feel like being awarded as a Youth Icon is something intense. If you are unapologetically and authentically yourself, I guess somewhere down the line you can get your success.”
Pooja Hegde will be seen sharing screen space with superstar Mahesh Babu in Trivikram Srinivas’s Directorial SSMB28. In addition to this, Pooja will be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan opposite Salman Khan and She is also doing Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus along with Ranveer Singh.
