Rakul Preet Singh’s latest film Manmadhudu 2 is ready to hit the screens worldwide on August 9th. She has been paired up with King Nagarjuna for the first time with this movie which is directed by Rahul Ravindran.
Rakul is playing the role of a modern age girl, Avantika in this movie. She was seen smoking in a couple of shots in the theatrical trailer. Several people on social media trolled her and questioned why is she sending a bad influence on society by smoking on screen.
Rakul slammed all the people who trolled her for smoking scenes. She said, “My character smokes in the film. If the script demands me to do it, I will do it. I don’t smoke in real life and I am very health conscious. Anyways, there will be a statutory warning on smoking before every film’s screening and Why is it a problem if heroine smokes on screen and it is completely okay if a hero does the same thing?”
