Ramani Kalyanam comes as a feel-good emotional drama with a fresh theme. Directed by Vijay Adireddy and produced by Kites Creatives, the film brings Deepshikha Chandran and Surya Vashistta together in a story about hope and self belief. Released on 22 May 2026.

Plot

The story follows Sanjana, a young woman who lost her eyesight in a childhood accident. She does not let that stop her. She works as an RJ and sings at a pub run by Kishore. She lives with four children and a grandmother and faces life with confidence. Raj is a friend of Kishore who uses a wheelchair. He visits the same pub often. Sanjana and Raj start with a small clash, but that soon turns into friendship and then deep love. They support each other and decide to get married. The film then asks simple but strong questions. Will their wedding happen? Why is Raj in a wheelchair? What is the bond Sanjana shares with the four children? The answers drive the rest of the story and give the film its emotional core.

Performances

Deepshikha Chandran is the heart of Ramani Kalyanam. She plays Sanjana with honesty and grace. Her body language and expressions as a visually impaired woman feel natural and well studied. She never makes the role look heavy. Instead, she brings charm and strength to every scene. Her dialogue delivery is calm and the motivational lines land well because of her conviction. Surya Vashistta is equally good as Raj. Playing a man in a wheelchair is not easy, but he handles it with subtlety. He shows pain, humor, and hope without loud drama. His chemistry with Deepshikha is gentle and believable.

Srinivasa Reddy surprises in an emotional role. Known for comedy, he shows strong control in serious scenes and adds depth to the story. Shyamala is sincere as Geetha and gives good support. Chaitu Jonnalagadda is neat as Doctor Aravind and fits the part. Prabhavathi and the supporting cast do their jobs well.
