Ranabaali – Never Forget The Truth Documentary Series: Third Episode ‘The Men We Forgot’ Released
The much-awaited pan-India film Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Presented by T-Series and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, Ranabaali is being mounted on a grand scale. The film is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, coinciding with the festive occasion of Vijayadashami.
As part of the four-episode documentary series titled Ranabaali – Never Forget The Truth, the third episode, ‘The Men We Forgot’, is now streaming on YouTube.

In this episode, director Rahul Sankrityan reveals that the character of Ranabaali was inspired by several legendary historical warriors from Rayalaseema who fought for their motherland.
Director Rahul Sankrityan said, “Rayalaseema is a land that has given birth to many brave warriors. The heroic stories of Seema Palegars such as Budda Vengal Reddy, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and Gadekal Bobbili Nagireddy continue to be narrated through traditional ballads even today. When you visit the villages of Rayalaseema, people still speak with great pride about their courage and contributions.
“When I first heard about Gadekal Bobbili Nagireddy, the idea for this story began taking shape. He was known for riding horses and was even believed to communicate with the gods. He was eventually killed as a result of conspiracies. While researching the period of the great famine, I came across the story of Budda Vengal Reddy. During the famine, he sold all his assets and established gruel centres, saving the lives of thousands of people. Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy fought against the British and became a formidable force for them.
“I am also from the soil of Rayalaseema. During my childhood, I witnessed many people who displayed extraordinary courage and determination to do good for society. These warriors were physically strong and known for their bravery and fearlessness. I drew inspiration from all of them while designing the character of Ranabaali.”
The makers will announce the streaming date of the fourth and final episode, ‘The Last Load’, soon.
