Post her marriage, actress Rani Mukherjee took a break from the industry and made her comeback into films a couple of years back. Since then, she did female-oriented flicks like Mardaani and Hichki. Now, the Hey Ram actress is back with another female-oriented film called Mardaani 2.
Mardaani is a super-hit cop drama that showcased Rani as a ferocious lady police officer. She dons the same character in the sequel as well bu this time, the plot is more intense. The story revolves around the rape and murder case of a teenage girl in the educational hub of Kota city.
The trailer is quite intriguing with some serious moments. Rani impressed as officer Shivani who is on the mission to catch the rape culprit. Her action sequences seem to the USP of the film. Gopi Puthran has written and directed the film while Aditya Chopra is producing it. Mardaani 2 will hit the screens worldwide on the 13th of December.
