Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s romantic comedy, ‘Geetha Govindam’ was a smash hit at the box office last year at the box-office. The film was directed by Parasuram and Bunny Vas produced it under Allu Aravind’s presentation.
Now the latest information is that Bollywood’s star director Rohit Shetty has successfully gained the Hindi remake rights to this popular Telugu film. But it seems that Rohit will not be involved in the project in a directorial capacity, but is looking to produce it with his team.
After tasting huge blockbusters with Ajay Devgan’s ‘Golmaal Again’ and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Simmba’, Rohit Shetty is currently directing Akshay Kumar for another cop drama titled ‘Sooryavanshi’ and is also producing the remake of ‘Satte Pe Satta’ directed by Farah Khan.
