Young Hero Aksha Puri is coming with ‘Romantic’ Directed by Debutante Anil Paduri in Puri Jagannadh, Charmme’s Production. ‘Romantic’ is slated to release worldwide on October 29th. On this occasion, Akash talked with Shiva Kumar B for IndustryHit and shared many things about ‘Romantic’
What do you look at in a script?
– At present I am looking for something which has universal acceptance. As I am at the starting stage of my career, I want to prove myself. I won’t do films that cater to all kinds of audiences from multiplexes to B, C centers.
What should be the composition of the script?
– Anything which can be accepted by the audiences. Whatever I do, be it a conceptual, unique film, I want to do it in an acceptable manner for the audience.
According to Akash what are good films and what are bad films?
– Good films are those which entertain people like people get happy with them. Bad films are something that spoils the movie experience.
You are very young, How does Akash define success?
– First I need to experience success to answer this. But, I know one day I will get it. Then I can see how the world changes with success.
Who is Akash without Puri Jagannadh?
– An Actor who wants to make it big. Even if I am not Puri Jagannadh’s son I will still be an actor. No matter what I will be in the industry.
During Warangal Event, You spoke very emotionally and said that you will make him proud. Tell us about it.
– I spoke what I felt. I definitely have that passion and fire for acting. I have my dreams and goals. I told him that I will definitely work hard and score success. I am proud to be his son and one day I will make him proud with my success.
As a budding Hero, how did you take the delay in making this film because of COVID? How did you utilize that period?
– It was really depressing. Not knowing when will it end. When will the movie get released? That was really hard for me. But, I realized that the whole world is at a pause.
What is the central theme of ‘Romantic’?
– It’s a Mad Action film. which has a lot of love. It is a beautiful script.
How do you see Akash in the coming years? As a performer or as a Hero?
– Both. I would definitely love to groom myself as a star who is an actor. There are many people who inspire me in this aspect… Chiranjeevi Garu is a Mega Star and also a wonderful actor. Junior NTR is a big star and at the same time an amazing actor.
Being a very young guy, what runs in your mind while performing romantic scenes with a beautiful girl like Ketika?
– To be honest, I am very shy to do Romantic films. I never thought I would be doing liplock onscreen. But, my dad made me do it. It was really tough for both of us. We knew that’s necessary for those characters and did it.
How was your relation with Director and other artists?
– It was amazing. Director Anil Garu was really nice. I like him as a Director and he has a great vision. I never felt like he was directing his first film. He never showed his stress. He is very confident.
What do you say about Prabhas, Vijay Deverakonda promoting your film?
– I am very very thankful to them. Especially Prabhas Garu because we never asked him. He was the one who called us and said that I will do it. We did an interview with him. He was invited to his place in Mumbai. The biggest superstar in India has given his whole day for me. That was really special for me. I am indebted for the support I am getting from him and from his fans.
About Production values?
– The film came out in a very big way. I wanted to thank my dad for that. He never compromises in quality.
There were some dialogues in the teaser, tell us about them?
– There is a dialogue ‘ Ye sare Duniya pet aur pet ke neeche ke liye..’, That’s nature and that’s how the world is. Dad has kept the dialogues in a very nice way.
How do you conclude ‘Romantic’?
– Madness… It’s a proper entertainer.
