‘Save The Tigers Again’ – the second season of highly successful ‘Save The Tigers’ (2023), is currently streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. The comedy family drama Starring Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Chaitanya Krishna, Abhinav Gomatam, Jordar Sujata, Deviyani Sharma, and Pallavi Gangireddy in key roles, is a 7-episode series with an approximate running time of nearly 190 minutes. Mahi V Raghav and Pradeep Advitham have created the show. Let’s find out what the show offers.
Story:
The first season explored the lives of three husbands, Ganta Ravi (Priyadarshi Pulikonda), Vikram (Chaitanya Krishna), and Rahul (Abhinav Gomatam), who were frustrated with their wives played by Joradar Sujatha, Deviyani Sharma and Pallavi Gangireddy respectively. Both husbands and wives were unhappy with each other for different reasons. Their problems were depicted in a hilarious manner. The season ended with the trio getting caught by a Circle Inspector (Srikanth Iyengar) as prime suspects in the abduction and alleged killing of actress Hamsalekha (Seerat Kapoor).
The second season begins with the trio being subjected to custodial punishment by the cop. However, in a comical twist, Hamsalekha who befriended with them the last night passed out after having party with them. She herself appears in the police station and release them. After they are let out by the cops, a series of incidents involving them and their wives leads to a quirky incidents. Why did their wives go to Spandana (Sathya Krishna), a counseller? Why does the local MLA promise a Corporator ticket to Ravi? Will Ravi buy a dream house for his wife in a gated community? Why does Vikram’s wife Rekha (Deviana Sharma) want to stop pursuing Law? Who is Harika (Darshan Banik) who comes between Rahul and Madhuri (Pavani Gangireddy)? How do the three couples fight over their respective issues? Concludes the second season of Save The Tigers 2.
Performances:
Priyadarshi shows ease with his Telangana slang. Priyadarshi is a show stopper in the series. Abhinav Gomatam, is confident and delivered natural act. Chaitanya Krishna’s acting is subtle and matured. Priyadarshi, Abhinav Gomatam and Chaitanya Krishna steal the show with their best performances.
Jordar Sujatha, Deviani Sharma and Pavani Gangireddy lived in their characters, and did justice to their roles. They fit in their roles as wives organically. Seerat Kapoor did a fantastic job as Actress Hamsalekha. The counsellor played by Satya Krishna and Venu Yeldandi as a TV presenter are good. Gangavva, Darshana Banik, and Aarthi Ganeshkar fit the bill. Rohini, as the funny maid, is enjoyable.

Analysis:
Creators Mahi V Raghav and Pradeep Advaitham keeps the plot intact while they continue delivering laughs with their impeccable writing. Since Mahi V Raghav is a feature filmmaker with experience in dealing with a variety of genres (from ‘Anando Brahma’ to the recent ‘Yatra 2’), He never disappoints the audience and dealt the sitcom with finesse. He achieved another success with Season 2 of Save The Tigers. He deals the series well in delivering the message as well as balancing the story with comedy. The first three episodes are downright hilarious. The fourth episode is like a satire.
Director Arun Kothapally tries to bring freshness to the proceedings by resorting to different genres of humour whenever the season suffers from pacing issues. The production values of Chinna Vasudeva Reddy and Mahi V Raghav are good.
Cinematographer SV Vishweshwar and composer Ajay Arasada delivered and goes along with the story. Editor Shravan Katikaneni does a good job in keeping things in order. Art Director Kiran Mamidi’s work is conventional.
