“Single” is the latest film starring Sree Vishnu, who has been on a roll with hits like “Samajavaragamana” and “Om Bheem Bush.” After facing a setback with “Swag,” Sree Vishnu is back with “Single,” directed by Caarthik Raju and co-starring Ivana, Ketika Sharma, and Vennela Kishore. The film’s OTT rights have been bagged by Amazon Prime, and it releases on May 9, 2025.

Plot

The story revolves around two youngsters who are single and the developments in their lives. Vijay (Sree Vishnu), a bank employee, longs to have a girlfriend and gets attracted to a beautiful girl Purva (Ketika Sharma). However, another girl Harini (Ivana) enters his life, leading to interesting developments. The role of Aravind (Vennela Kishore) adds to the plot’s progression.

Performances

Sree Vishnu effortlessly slips into his role, entertaining movie lovers with his screen presence, mannerisms, and unique dialogue delivery. Ivana makes her presence felt with her looks and performance. She impresses with her expressions and looks onscreen. while Vennela Kishore complements Sree Vishnu with his performance. VTV Ganesh and Rajendra Prasad deliver good performances in their respective roles.

Analysis

The film’s story is simple, with a tailor-made role for Sree Vishnu. The first half is filled with hilarious scenes, and the performances of Sree Vishnu and Vennela Kishore make an impact. However, the emotional flashback in the second half looks forced. The climax is entertaining again, with a surprise twist.

Altogether, “Single” is a full on entertainer. Sree Vishnu’s hilarious antics and the comedy elements will keep viewers entertained, but the film lacks a strong story. Velraj’s cinematography is vibrant. Vishal Chandrasekhar’s music could have been better. With some tighter editing and a more engaging plot, “Single” could have been a solid film. As it stands, it remains as a hilarious entertainer with good moments.
