Story:
Karthik (Sharwanand) is the son of Farmer Keshavulu (Rao Ramesh). He works as a software engineer in Hyderabad to repay loans taken by his father at his village. Karthik aims to practice farming in his village. Chaitra (Priyanka Mohan) tries to woo Karthik, but he doesn’t open up. After seeing the plight of his villagers who left farming to work in the city, he decides and moves to his village to do community farming. But, his father disapproves of Karthik’s decision. Has Karthik become successful? Does he wins back his family and love forms ‘Sreekaram’?
Performances:
Sharwanand, who is known as a subtle performer, delivers once again in ‘ Sreekaram’. He carried the film with his intense and balance act. He made us feel his pain and ambitions with his terrific performance and dialogue delivery.
Priyanka Mohan did well in the role of a girl who shares the dream of her lover. She looks beautiful onscreen., and her pairing with Sharwanand is sizzling without revealing anything.
Rao Ramesh as Sharwanand’s father, Naresh as a worker turned farmer and Sai Kumar in a negative role who suffers from an inferiority complex, made their characters work with their experience. Sathya and Sapthagiri, in a brief part, evoke some laughs.

Analysis:
Debut Director B. Kishore comes with a relatable issue in Sreekaram. He handles it neatly like a senior pro. The farming concept is convincingly narrated, showing the suffering of farmers and what makes them leave agriculture.
The first half showcases farmers’ issues and how they feel working in small jobs after migrating to cities. They are told very emotionally. It will bring a lump in the throat.
The love story between the lead pair runs parallelly, but the essence of the story remains intact. The expectations are set right for the second half with a well-executed interval block.
The second half is dealt with emotionally, with a dash of humor. The emotions came out well aided by excellent dialogues. Though the proceedings are a bit slow in pace, it is all balanced with a moving climax. The director takes care to make it not look like a lecture and succeeds in bringing an emotional and inspiring quality to it, about farming. It will surely leave many impressionable minds thinking.
Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra are superb and will haunt us even after watching the movie. Music by Mickey J Meyer brings much-needed depth during emotional scenes. The cinematography by Yuvraj is commendable. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is adequate. Producers Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta deserve all the praises for backing an honest film with a noble cause under the 14 Reels Plus banner. Production values are top-notch.
