Star Producer A.M. Rathnam Graces Shree Nandu’s Kaasu Glimpse Launch Event
The glimpse launch event of Kaasu, starring Shree Nandu and Indu Kumar, was held grandly in Hyderabad with veteran producer A.M. Rathnam attended as the chief guest. Produced by Indu Kumar and Narendra Konda under the AKR Dream Pictures LLP banner, the film is written and directed by P.S. Harshavardhan. The makers announced that Kaasu will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
VFX Supervisor Akhil said, “VFX plays a major role in this film. The story revolves around themes like greed and morality. We received complete support from the producers while working on the film. The VFX in this movie will definitely impress everyone.”
Editor Srinivas said, “This is my first film as an editor. I read the entire story, and it is a very good script. I strongly believe this film will connect with every audience.”
Music Director Prashanth R. Vihari said, “This is a film that will take Telugu cinema a step forward. I contributed my best to the music because it deserves that effort. This is my second collaboration with Shree Nandu, and I believe the film will bring a lot of recognition to the entire team.”
Producer Narendra Konda said, “We are presenting a beautiful love story through Kaasu. The film explores what happens to a relationship when greed for money enters the lives of two people in love. Hope, greed, love, obsession with money, and various human emotions come together to create an engaging story with several twists. Shree Nandu and Indu Kumar have delivered excellent performances, and Prashanth R. Vihari’s music will be one of the film’s biggest attractions.”
Director P.S. Harshavardhan said, “I thank A.M. Rathnam garu for attending our event today. I have always been a huge fan of him. With the support of my producers Narendra garu and Indu garu, I got the opportunity to make this film. I even wrote “Picture Paithyam” on the film’s title card because that is exactly how I felt while writing this story. Kaasu is a beautiful love story set against a hill station backdrop.
We will keep bringing more updates from the film, and we are planning to release separate glimpses introducing each character. After writing this script, the only hero I narrated it to was Shree Nandu. He listened to the story for three hours and immediately said yes. Since this is my first film, I can never forget him for believing in me. I thank the entire team for standing by me and working with passion.”
Chief Guest A.M. Rathnam said, “I wish this film becomes a huge success. Looking at this glimpse launch event itself, it already feels like a success meet. Never compromise until you are completely satisfied with your film.
When I made Karthavyam, I shot the climax once but was not satisfied. I felt a police officer arresting criminals was not enough and that the film needed to say something more to society. I rewrote and reshot the climax, and that film became a national-level success.
In my career, 7G Brindavan Colony started as a small film, but even today people call me because of it. It became a cult and an epic film, and now we are making its sequel. I have produced many big films, but I approach every project as if it is my first. I want this team to do the same. Don’t stop saying the film is good, keep working until it becomes great.”
Actress & Producer Indu Kumar said, “You will soon know what Kaasu is and how much justice it does to your money. I come from a small village and knew very little about the industry. I began my journey as an anchor, and today I stand before you as a producer and heroine. My father was always the happiest whenever I achieved something, so I named this banner after him.
When Harshavardhan narrated this story, I loved it so much that we launched the banner without thinking twice. I consider my co-producer Narendra Konda garu as Lord Venkateswara in my life. People say Shree Nandu chooses strong stories, but this time Kaasu chose him.
There is another hero in this film, a monster. Our VFX Supervisor Akhil has worked hard to bring that character to life. Every update from Kaasu will surely impress audiences.”
Hero Shree Nandu, “I thank my director Harshavardhan for trusting me with the character Jai. I’m happy that he saw me as Jai in the world of Kaasu. After Dandora and Psych Siddharth, this is the next film in my career, and it is also the biggest-budget film I have done.
Our producers are trying to make this film technically brilliant, and I thank them for spending on quality. People often post on social media saying money cannot buy happiness. Usually, those who cannot earn money say that. Money is important for us and for our family’s needs, but we should never become obsessed with it to the point that it becomes a disease.
That is exactly what Kaasu talks about, what happens when money turns into a disease called greed. The film entertains while also delivering a psychological message. After listening to this story, the theme of greed stayed with me for two days and even changed my perspective. I believe audiences will experience the same feeling after watching the film. We have actors from multiple languages, and I’m confident everyone will like Kaasu.”
