Rao Bahadur Is Surreal Cinema, Indian Cinema Hasn’t Seen A Film Like This Before: Sukumar
The anticipation for Satya Dev and Venkatesh Maha’s Rao Bahadur continues to reach new heights as successful director Sukumar showered praise on the upcoming psychological drama after watching a special preview of the film. Following presenter superstar Mahesh Babu’s appreciation, Sukumar’s feedback has further elevated expectations for the film ahead of its July 3 release.
Calling it a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience, Sukumar said, “Rao Bahadur is surreal cinema. I don’t think Indian cinema has seen a film like this before. It’s a magical and immersive experience that will surprise audiences.”
The director was particularly impressed with Satya Dev’s performance, saying, “Every actor would be jealous of a role like this. Such opportunities rarely come to an artist. It’s a wonderful gift from the entire team to Satya Dev.”
Sukumar also applauded director Venkatesh Maha for bringing an unconventional vision to life. “Writing a story is one thing, but presenting it in such a surreal style without losing its soul is a huge achievement. After eight years, Venkatesh Maha has created something truly remarkable,” he remarked.
Praising the film’s technical excellence, Sukumar added, “The world-building is extraordinary. From the costumes to every technical department, the craftsmanship is on another level. Everyone involved has done a brilliant job.”
He also acknowledged producer Anurag Reddy’s contribution, saying, “Anurag has played a very important role. Once audiences watch the film, they’ll understand how much he has contributed. You can see his passion in every frame.”
With Sukumar’s praise, Rao Bahadur has received another major boost ahead of its release.
