Directed by Arjun Kola, Tattvam stars Dinesh Tej and Dashvika K in the lead roles. The film is jointly produced by Sheemakurthi Vamsi Krishna and Swetha Pasupuleti under the banners of Trayathi Ishani Creations and SK Productions.
Tattvam is an intriguing murder mystery thriller that promises to keep audiences hooked with its suspense, engaging screenplay and a unique storyline. The trailer and songs released recently have received an unexpected response from audiences. The film is gearing up for its theatrical release tomorrow.
Ahead of the release, hero Dinesh Tej interacted with the media on Wednesday and spoke about the film, his character and the experience of working on Tattvam.
What made you accept Tattvam?
The twists in this film are something nobody can easily guess. The emotion in the climax and the central point of the story—what a person discovers about himself and what he ultimately understands about Tattvam—really impressed me. Overall, I found this murder mystery thriller very different and fresh. I believe audiences will feel the same when they watch it in theatres tomorrow.
What kind of story is Tattvam?
There is a very thin line between superstition and belief. The entire story revolves around that line. The film is set in the year 2000.
We heard that you met with an accident while working on this film?
We feel that all the negative experiences surrounding the film have somehow taken away the “evil eye.” Our film has very strong content. During the promotional phase, both the heroine and I met with accidents. For me, it feels like I got a second life.
The confidence I had when I heard the story on Day One has only grown stronger today. I have even more faith in the film’s success now. I am confident that audiences will definitely like the movie.
People often tell me, “When will your Friday come? When will your time come?” I believe that day will definitely arrive with this film. I will continue doing my work sincerely and act in good films.
Telugu audiences have always encouraged films with fresh concepts, and I believe they will give Tattvam the same kind of support. The story is our strength and the audience is our biggest support. When films like this succeed, it gives all of us greater confidence. I strongly believe the climax of Tattvam will touch everyone’s hearts.
Do you think the commercial success you have been waiting for will come with this film?
I am not looking at commercial success alone. There are certain films that I do because I feel that a particular story needs to be told. I chose Tattvam because it has a novel concept. As an actor, this film has given me complete satisfaction.
When we do films with unique and fresh stories, we also earn the respect of the audience. That matters to me.
How satisfied are you personally with your role in the film?
Personally, whenever I take up a role, I give it my complete commitment. I always make sure that I do justice to the character 100 percent.
Are you not accepting web series?
I have received offers for OTT web series. However, I did not come across stories that gave me the level of satisfaction I was looking for. So, I decided not to take them up.
What are your upcoming projects?
I am currently working on Husharu 2. I have also completed an action drama set against the backdrop of Vizianagaram. There is also a project titled Katha Keli with director Sathish Vegesna.
What kind of recognition do you expect to receive after Tattvam?
I believe that after this film, I will become an option for writers who come up with new and interesting stories.
The struggles we faced while making Tattvam are unlike anything I have experienced on any other film. The director and producers also faced numerous challenges and worked extremely hard to bring the film to this stage.
I believe all those efforts will reflect on the screen, and I hope audiences will appreciate the film.
