Netflix has started concentrating on the Indian market from the past few years and collaborating with talented directors to produce original regional content for global audiences. The success Netflix has tasted in the North with Sacred Games, Lust Stories made it expand its market down the south. While the Telugu version of Lust stories is in the filming stages right now, Netflix has teamed with director Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam for an anthology collaborating with Vinoothna Geetha production house.
A casting call was announced by Vinoothna Geetha team and director Tharun Bhascker for their Netflix Anthology in November last year. Today the shooting of this yet to be titled anthology in the direction of Tharun Bhascker has started in Hyderabad. Nothing about the genre of the anthology is revealed yet and a proper announcement with more details will be given very soon. Young comedian Abhay Bethiganti who is regular in Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam is part of the Netflix anthology and he participated in today’s shoot.
