Ustaad Bhagat Singh, the latest offering from Pawan Kalyan and Harish Shankar, reunites the duo after their blockbuster Gabbar Singh in 2012. With a production journey spanning over two years, the film finally hits theaters, raising expectations and curiosity among fans and critics alike.

Plot

The story starts with a noble teacher, played by K.S. Ravikumar, discovers a talented tribal boy, Ustaad Bhagat Singh (Pawan Kalyan), and helps him become an educated youth with a strong social conscience. Bhagat grows up to be a police officer, fighting against evil forces and corruption, while his teacher turns into the Chief Minister. As things seem to be going well, a group of people attempt to assassinate the Chief Minister, leading Bhagat to face challenges due to his honesty and integrity.

Performances

Pawan Kalyan shines in his role, showcasing his best look in recent times. He impresses with his dance moves, comedy timing, and emotional sequences. R. Parthiban delivers a solid performance as the crooked politician, while K.S. Ravikumar is impressive as the teacher turned Chief Minister. Temper vamsi gets adequate screen time to showcase his brillaint performance !

Analysis

Ustaad Bhagat Singh has its moments, thanks to the three engaging blocks in the second half. However, director Harish Shankar uses vintage references to Pawan Kalyan’s past films landed well for fans. Even though the initial hour is decent, with okayish comedy and a dance sequence. Harish Shankar’s direction stay focused on presenting Pawan Kalyan at his best.

Despite its drawbacks, the film has enough for Pawan Kalyan’s fans to enjoy. The second half is a major plus with Thaman’s impressive BGM and Devi Sri Prasad foottapping songs. The dialogues are noteworthy, and the use of the song “Nee Manase” from Tholiprema is a highlight. Overall, Ustaad Bhagat Singh is an enjoyable watch, relying heavily on Pawan Kalyan’s stardom.
