Analysis
The film’s story is penned by SU Arun Kumar, and despite being routine, it has its moments. The narration of the story is decent, and the rustic and gritty action sequences and the hero elevation scenes are well-composed and will surely impress the audience. The 16 minute single shot sequence in the second half is well choreographed and executed. GV Prakash Kumar’s background score is good as expected, and the cinematography suits the milieu well. However, the film’s slow narration and predictable storyline are major drawbacks.
Altogether, Veera Dheera Soora 2 turns out to be a decent action thriller with rich technical work and strong emotions. Despite its predictable storyline and slow narration, the film has its moments, thanks to Vikram’s impressive performance and the well-composed action sequences. While it may not be the best film in Vikram’s career, it is still a watchable action drama.
Rating: 2.75/5
Bottom-line: A Decent Action Thriller
