Is there any bigger reason behind it? forms the rest of the VenkyMama

Performances:

Victory Venkatesh is in his vintage form as an actor. He showcases all the variations in emotions like comedy, romance, action, and drama with unbelievable ease. All his scenes with Naga Chaitanya reflect the off-screen love they share.

It is the same with Naga Chaitanya, as well. The young actor raises his bar as a performer. He is clearly inspired by his on and off-screen ‘mama’ to deliver the goods. There scenes together a delight to watch on the big screen. He also looks dapper in a rugged military avatar in the second half. The body language and attitude are appropriately exhibited.

The two heroines Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput have come out with entertaining acts along with looking beautiful on screen. They fill the movie with fun whenever they arrive on screen.

Rao Ramesh comes up with an effective negative role. Nasser plays a family head with a hidden secret in a compassionate way. Prakash Raj, seen after a gap, is commanding as usual. The rest of the actors do justice to their roles, whether for one scene or more.

Analysis:

KS Ravindra (Bobby) is a mass director with a good flair for comedy. The quality is once again visible in VenkyMama, which revolves around entertainment and drama. The story is simple; it is the mixture of mass entertaining elements that takes it a notch higher.

The opening takes us straight to the point that the movie Venky Mama is about. From then onwards, it takes a flashback and current method in narrating the story. The style helps in creating suspense in the predictable outing that we have here. The fate of the character of Naga Chaitanya is the driving point here.

The last half an hour progresses more like an action thriller. There is an undercurrent emotional bond sentiment running through it as well. The whole package is what makes Venky Mama an enjoyable watch.

S Thaman has done a great job with the music and the background score. The latter is sure to register a big way among those who see the movie. The cinematography by Prasad Murella is excellent. There is richness in every frame. The editing by Prawin Pudi is sharp. It keeps the pace of the movie fast. The production values are fantastic. D Suresh Babu, TG Vishwaprasad and Vivek Kuchibotla have done a great job in mounting the commercial entertainer on a grand scale.

Bottom-Line: An Enjoyable Family Action Entertainer

Rating: 3/5
