After the success of bigil, Thalapathy Vijay took no rest and soon started the filming of his next movie under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj. Tentatively called #Thalapathy64, the shooting of this film is currently going on in New Delhi. Lokesh has scored super hits with his first two films Maanagaram and Kaithi. He is planning to strike a hat-trick with this third film as well.
Meanwhile, from the past few days, it is being reported in media that the film is a remake of Kamal Haasan’s 1994 Tamil film, Nammavar. But, the makers of the film have officially confirmed that Thalapathy64 is not a remake of any film and is a pure original story.
Lokesh is currently canning a few important scenes in the backdrop of a college in Delhi. Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is playing a key role in this film. Malavika Mohanan is the female lead and Andrea Jeremiah is essaying an important character. All the lead cast is taking part in the current schedule. Xavier Britto is bankrolling this film under the XB Film Creations banner. Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for it. The makers are planning to release the film during the Diwali season in 2020.
