“We Hit Success with That One Word from Ilaiyaraaja Sir” – Hero Thaksh at the Success Meet of A Beautiful Breakup

Thaksh and Matylda play the lead roles in the English feature film A Beautiful Breakup. Written and directed by Ajith Vasan Uggina, the film has been crafted as a trendsetting romantic horror thriller and was released on February 13. Produced by 5 Natures Movies International and presented by Mudragada Rangarao and Uggina Satyanarayana Rao, the movie features music by Maestro Ilaiyaraaja.

The film has received a tremendous response wherever it was released and is running successfully. To celebrate this success, the makers organized a success meet. The team also announced that, although the film was initially released in English, it will soon be dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Director Ajith Vasan Uggina Speaks
Director Ajith Vasan Uggina thanked the audience for their overwhelming support. He said,
“Love is universal. It has no culture, but it does have pain. So why make such a love story in just one language? We decided to start with English. When I suggested making it with just two characters, Thaksh was initially scared. He wondered how a film with only two characters could succeed when even big films with fights and dances struggle. I told him I would take care of it, and we began in English.

Not only did we make a film in English, but I also feel proud to be part of Ilaiyaraaja sir’s history. Taksh trusted me immensely—without him, this film wouldn’t exist. He supported me in every aspect. Thaksh and Matylda carried the entire film on their shoulders with great responsibility. Though both are newcomers, they performed at a Hollywood level and proved their talent.
No one has spoken negatively about the film so far, which shows how naturally they immersed themselves in the story. They portrayed a real couple so convincingly. I thank them and everyone who supported me.”

Hero Thaksh Speaks
Hero Thaksh thanked the media for their continuous support. He mentioned that Matilda could not attend the event as she is abroad for an important project and conveyed her apologies. He promised to hold a grand press meet soon.

Speaking about the film, he said,
“We started this story as a very small idea, but when the director developed it fully, it was mind-blowing. Even Ilaiyaraaja sir was stunned. He said it was a challenging project and that he had never worked on such a subject before—that itself shows the depth of the story.

If anyone hasn’t watched it yet, they should definitely see it to understand its uniqueness. We hit success with just that one word of appreciation from Raja sir. The director has woven a true story around souls trapped in a bottle—something audiences have never seen before.

Making a film with just two characters is extremely difficult, but Raja sir made it easy for us with his music. His background score has elevated the film tremendously. We are planning a bigger event in Chennai focused on the music.
