The shoot of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru kickstarted in Kashmir in July. The team shot the army sequences featuring Mahesh, in some of the border areas in Kashmir. But, it wasn’t an easy task for the team to shoot in the area producer Anil Sunkara explained about it.
The film’s team got permissions easily with the help of defense minister Rajnath Singh, but the situation became difficult when they went on the ground. When the team is shooting in Pahalgam, they were only allowed to shoot from 5 am-10 am and not after that, due to security concerns.
The producers arranged a bulletproof security escort to Mahesh. The actor used to reach the location safely but the production vans used to get stopped every time by the security officers. Thus, there was a lot of trouble to complete the shoot on time.
A day after the team came back to Hyderabad, the Government of India abrogated Article 370 and the team realized why the security was so strict during the shoot. In fact, they got relieved as everything happened after the shoot got successfully wrapped up.
