Plot
Jagad is an orphan who runs an old age home with his friends, living a peaceful and purpose driven life. Things change when he meets Anu at a temple and begins to dream of a future with her. At the same time, the town is rocked by a series of brutal murders targeting women, leaving the police clueless.
As the mystery deepens, questions arise, Who is behind these killings? Why are only women being targeted? And what is Anu’s connection to Jagad and to the crimes? The story unfolds layer by layer, balancing Jagad’s personal journey with a gripping investigation.
Performances
Yamudu works largely because of its sincere and grounded performances. Jagadeesh Amanchi is the backbone of the film. Juggling direction, production, and acting, he delivers a mature and controlled performance as Jagad. He brings dignity to the role of a caretaker with a big heart, and shifts convincingly into the intensity required for the thriller portions.
Sravani Setti is natural and effective. She fits her role seamlessly and brings warmth and realism to her portions. Her expressions and timing add to the film’s emotional connect, and she leaves a lasting positive impression. Advika Sharma, though having limited screen time, makes every moment count. Her presence is impactful and she adds an important layer to the central mystery with a poised performance. Aakash plays a crucial role in driving the suspense forward. He handles his character with sincerity and contributes meaningfully to the film’s tense moments, ensuring the thriller stays engaging.
