Analysis
Artiste’s story is penned by Ratan Rishi, who starts the narration in an interesting manner. Along with surprises the narrative is also blended with emotions. However, the screenplay lose pace as the hero’s love track and brother-sister sentiment are introduced. The first half is loaded with extreme emotions and sentiments, and the director concentrates on elevating them along with thrilling viewers with twists and turns. The second half gets slow. But, the suspense keeps the curiosity alive.
Overall, Artiste turns out to be a decent crime thriller. Director Ratan Rishi tries to blend the story with crime elements and intense emotions, but this approach acts as a double-edged sword. While the film has its moments, it has the potential to go to the next level.
Bottom-line: Decent Watchable Crime Thriller
Rating: 2.75/5
