Plot

The story revolves around 38-year-old Prasad, who works in a star hotel in Malaysia and refuses to get married unless he receives a dowry of at least two crores, just like his ancestors. Prasad’s life takes a turn when he meets Priya, who dreams of settling down in a foreign country with her parents and grandmother. However, after learning about Prasad, she traps him and marries him. Prasad decides not to go abroad after marriage, leading to a fight between the two. The movie explores the reasons behind Prasad’s decision and the difficulties he faces after getting married.

Performances

Saptagiri slips into the role effortlessly, and his antics manage to entertain movie lovers. He carries the film on his shoulders, entertaining the audience with his comedy timing and emotional scenes. Priyanka Sharma is good in some scenes, She is impressive, attracting the audience with her glamour. Muralidhar Goud is good in the role of Saptagiri’s father. His character has a good scope, and he delivers a commendable performance. The supporting cast, including Annapurnama, Vadlamani Srinivas, and Pramodini, perform according to their roles.

Analysis

The film’s story is penned by Abhilash Reddy Gopidi, who tries to highlight the ordeals of a person who remains unmarried. However, the story offers nothing new, but the director tries to entertain viewers with hilarious scenes. He succeeded to evoke laughter, The director’s take on the story, is impressive. The music of Sekhar Chandra is good to some extent, but background music could have been better. Sujatha Siddharth’s cinematography is good, making the film colorful.

Pelli Kaani Prasad evokes laughs at regular intervals along with emotional scenes towards the end. Director Abhilash Reddy Gopidi concentrates only on showing and elevating Saptagiri’s performance in hilarious scenes. Saptagiri’s comedy timing and emotional scenes are the highlights of the film.
