Bakasura Restaurant is a Telugu horror comedy film starring Praveen and Harsha Chemudu in the lead roles. The film is directed by SJ.Surya and released on August 8. The story follows Paramesh, a software employee who dreams of starting his own restaurant, and the surprising developments he faces in his quest along with his friends.
Plot:
The plot of Bakasura Restaurant is engaging, with a group of friends trying to make quick money by creating ghost-hunting videos for YouTube. However, things take a turn when they accidentally awaken a spirit, and strange things begin to happen. The group tries to figure out who the ghost is and what it wants, leading to a series of hilarious and thrilling events.
Performances:
Praveen, making his debut as the lead hero, performs well within his limits. He entertains with his trademark comedy and mannerisms and shows variations in emotional scenes. Viva Harsha makes his presence felt, carrying the film on his shoulders with his good emotions. Fun Bucket Phani is a revelation and performed well evoking laughs. He leaves an impression with his performance. The supporting cast, including KGF Garuda Ram, Krishna Bhagavan, and Srikant Iyengar, play important roles and ensure the story is carried forward.

Analysis :
The film’s story is penned by SJ.Surya, who planned a film with Praveen in the backdrop of hilarious and horror elements. The film’s narration starts in an interesting way, and the first half goes at a decent pace. However, the second half has an uneven pace with predictable scenes. But, flashback episodes, and a pre-climax worked in favour of the film. The narration and screenplay reflects the good intentions of the director SJ Surya.
The music of Vikas Badisa offers nothing much, and the cinematography of Bala Saraswati is ok but could have been better. The editing left a lot to be desired, with many scenes bringing down the intensity levels.
With some fine-tuning of the script and screenplay, the film could have been more engaging and entertaining. Overall, Bakasura Restaurant turns out to be a decent hilarious entertainer.
