Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali of ‘Ramleela’, ‘Padmaavat’ fame is all set to come up with another interesting film. He joined hands with another popular producer Bhushan Kumar for a movie based on true incidents. As per the latest reports, the movie is they are going to produce a film about the recent Balakot airstrike.
Abhishek Kapoor who scored hits like Kai Po Che, Fitoor and Kedarnath is penning the script and is also going to helm the Balakot airstrike. Touted to be a tribute to the sons of India and their never-say-die spirit in, the story celebrates the invaluable accomplishments of the Indian Air Force. For the uninitiated, after the horrific suicide bombing that took place in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 40 troopers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), IAF’s Mirage fighter jets hit three targets in Balakot in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province with five Israeli-origin Spice 2000 bombs on February 26th.
The film will go on roll this year and is much-likely to hit the theatres in 2020. The shooting will take place in the backdrop of Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Agra.
