For every decade or two, there will be new star music composers in the film composers. Starting with the legendary Ghantasala and to the many young musicians of recent times, many music directors came but only a few could manage to carve their niche in the industry. One among them is Devi Sri Prasad.
Fondly called as Rockstar DSP, Devi made his debut in 1999 with the film Devi. The film which gave a major break was Anandam which was released in 2000. Since then, there was no looking back for him. He has composed music for over 80 films in Telugu, Tamil and still continuing as a top composer in the South.
Today is the birthday of Devi Sri Prasad and we wish a very happy birthday and pray that he continues to keep doing the amazing work he has been doing for many years. Devi is currently composing music for Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru, Uppena, and untitled Keerthy Suresh-Nagesh Kukunoor’s film.
