There are many friendship theme-based films made in Tollywood and became successful. As today is Friendship day let’s check out those buddy films.
The first film that comes to our minds in this generation when we talk about friendship films is ‘Happy Days’. This Shekhar Kammula film with all newcomers became a sensational hit and inspired many directors to make college-based friendship stories. Before that Chiranjeevi’s Sneham Kosam, Iddaru Mitrulu, Nagarjuna’s Snehamante Idera Venkatesh’s Vasantham were also prominent films based on friendship.
Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi also has a friendship element playing a key role in the film. Allu Arjun’s Arya 2 is another film based on friendship and love. Nagarjuna and Karthi’s Oopiri dealing with warm bonding between the two lead actors deserves a special mention in this category. Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, Brochevarevarura, and Hushaaru mark new age buddy films which also became quite successful.
The latest worldwide sensation, SS Rajamouli ‘RRR’ is also about the friendship between two freedom fighters played by NTR and Ram Charan. Though it is fictional, ‘RRR’ depicts friendship in an effective manner showcasing sacrifices, and adventures both friends take for others.
