Deepika Padukone, whose previous outing, ‘Padmaavat’ became a blockbuster, is all set to come up with her upcoming film ‘Chhapaak‘ under the direction of Meghna Gulzar of ‘Raazi’ and ‘Talvar’ fame which is untold story of Trauma and Triumph.
Deepika is playing the role of acid attack survivor Malti in the film. Deepika is also marking her debut as a producer with this film. Today, the makers have unveiled the theatrical trailer of the film.
The video opened with people urging for justice regarding the acid attack survivor Malti (Deepika Padukone), the court case, how Malti stood against all the odds and achieved in her life. The trailer hinted that the movie is the untold story of Trauma and Triumph definitely going to be an inspiring tale which increased the expectations on the film.
The dialogues such as “He scarred my face, not my spirit” are beautiful and inspiring. Fox Star Studios is bankrolling this project. ‘Chhapaak’ is all set to hit the screens on 10th January 2020.
