The film “Idupu Kayitham” is being produced by Bunny Vas and acclaimed director Sukumar under their banners Bunny Vas Works and Sukumar Writings, with Priyadarshi playing the lead role. Naga Durga, who has earned recognition through folk songs, plays the female lead. Young director Vamsi Reddy Dondapati is crafting the film as an entertaining drama set against a family backdrop. The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on December 11. Today, the makers held a grand launch event in Hyderabad for the film’s second song, ‘Gadapa’.

Lyricist Alaraju said, “I have written lyrics for around 100 songs in the film industry so far. But those 100 songs are one thing, and the ‘Srilatha’ song from this film is another. That song has brought me tremendous recognition. I thank our director and producers for giving me this opportunity.”

Lyricist Abhinaya Srinivas said, “I am happy to have got the opportunity to write the ‘Gadapa’ song for this film. Not every film offers an opportunity to write a song about such a meaningful occasion. A doorstep is like a symbol of our heritage. Suresh Bobbili has composed this song beautifully.”

Singer Telu Vijaya said, “I have sung thousands of folk songs and have also performed at weddings in villages. However, this song is bringing me special recognition. My younger brother Suresh Bobbili felt that I would be the right choice to sing it and gave me this opportunity. I really liked the lyrics of this song.”

Singer Shankar Babu said, “I sang the ‘Srilatha’ song in this film. After singing a song for Pushpa, I was hoping to get another good opportunity. Around that time, Suresh Bobbili called me and gave me the chance to sing ‘Srilatha’.”

Actor Mime Madhu said, “I played the heroine’s father in this film. The technicians who worked on the project have created the sets with great attention to natural detail. The moment we stepped into that environment, it felt as though we had entered the actual place where the story takes place. Our director has written a beautiful script that inspired us as actors. Getting an opportunity to act in a film like this is rare.”

Actor Vinod Bala said, “I had taken a break from acting for some time. Director Vamsi Reddy approached me and convinced me by explaining that I had a very important role in this story. I played the hero’s father in the film. During the shoot, our entire team experienced the earthy fragrance and beautiful atmosphere of Telangana.”

Actor Abhinav Gomatam said, “This is a beautiful family drama set against the backdrop of Telangana. I really like the ‘Srilatha’ song. I usually listen to beat-oriented songs, but the songs in this film have impressed me with their lyrics as well. Priyadarshi always chooses good scripts. Just like his films Balagam and Court, I believe this film will also achieve great success.”

Music director Suresh Bobbili said, “I thank our director and producers for giving me the opportunity to work on a wonderful film like ‘Idupu Kayitham’. Alaraju wrote excellent lyrics for ‘Srilatha’, and Abhinaya Srinivas has done equally wonderful work with the lyrics for ‘Gadapa’. Our Vijaya akka has sung the song beautifully. The songs and music from this film will remain a special memory for you.”

Director Vamsi Reddy Dondapati said, “With the support of our production house, we successfully completed a 31-day outdoor schedule. Our passionate young team worked extremely hard on this film. Bunny Vas garu would check with us every day about the progress of the shoot and how the scenes were shaping up. Whenever we needed anything for the film, our producers would simply tell us to go ahead and do what was necessary. They supported us wholeheartedly. Seeing so many Telangana artists on this stage makes me emotional. There is an indescribable excitement within all of us, and seeing our artists here gives me goosebumps. There was also a lot of controversy surrounding our film’s title. Despite that, our producers never questioned my choices regarding the people I brought on board for the film.”

Heroine Naga Durga said, “I consider this a very special day in my journey with ‘Idupu Kayitham’. I believe ‘Gadapa’ has connected with all of you. Whenever I did something around the house, my mother would tell me, ‘You will understand when you get married and go to your in-laws’ house.’ Those words kept coming to mind while I was playing Srilatha in this film. As soon as the promo for ‘Gadapa’ was released, my father called me and became emotional, even shedding tears as he told me that I had acted well. I worked very hard to transform myself from Naga Durga into Srilatha, and I hope you will appreciate that effort. Srilatha is the girl from our home, the girl from your home, and a girl found in every household. I believe audiences will love my character regardless of regional differences.”

Hero Priyadarshi said, “When we performed the pooja ceremony for ‘Idupu Kayitham’, many people on social media responded negatively. Some even commented, asking whether the film would have subtitles or whether it would be dubbed into Telugu. At that time, we wondered if we were doing something wrong, and the negativity affected us. However, many people from the media and the film industry came forward to support us. Their encouragement gave us the confidence that we could turn negativity into positivity. With that belief, we are inviting all of you into our ‘Gadapa’ today. Our mothers leave the doorstep of their parental homes to come into our homes. The same is true of our sisters and wives. Every household has countless memories associated with its doorstep. This song celebrates that very emotion. Even if you are thinking about nativity and regional culture, please take a moment to look at our film and listen to this song. You will feel the love behind it. Our film will release on December 11. Regardless of your region or language, I believe you will connect with our film. Suresh Bobbili’s music will be one of its biggest attractions.”

Producer Bunny Vas said, “Today is a special day for me. I watched the ‘Srilatha’ song on screen along with all of you, and my daughter is also featured in that song. This was the first time I saw her on screen. Every husband will connect with Vinod Bala’s character. He plays Priyadarshi’s father, and the dialogue in which he advises him not to go, drawing from his own life experiences, will become very popular. I was born and brought up in a rural area. When director Vamsi Reddy narrated this story, I did not specifically think of it as a story set in Telangana. Instead, I could vividly picture the village and home environment I had experienced during my childhood. What happens in a newly married household? What happens around a water pump? These situations felt as though someone was telling the story of our own home. As soon as I heard the story, I told him that it did not feel like a film story but like something that happens in our own homes. The naturalness of the story, the dialogues and the setting impressed all of us. Without the support of Sukumar garu and Thabitha garu, we could not have completed this film so quickly. This is the fastest film I have produced in my career, and that achievement belongs not to me but to the young team that worked on it. The lyrics of ‘Gadapa’ will deeply connect with every girl who is about to get married. I request newly married couples to bring their parents-in-law and watch our film in December. When you walk out of the theatre, they may put their arms around your shoulders and lead you out with affection. If you watch ‘Idupu Kayitham’ soon after your marriage, you may never need to think about an ‘Idupu Kayitham’ again.”
