Natural Star Nani starrer Gang Leader has hit the screens worldwide yesterday. As it is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vikram K Kumar, there were more expectations. Vikram is one of the few directors in the industry who is known for writing complex screenplays and make films with high technical standards.
Gang Leader also has some instances where the director’s brilliance can be seen. Especially the interval shot is one of the beautifully shot frames in recent times. It conveys the whole story of the film. The shot features villain Karthikeya on the left side of the frame and Nani with ladies Gang on the right side.
Nani and his gang were seen through the windows of a car. This gives you a feel that Nani is the charioteer (Krishna) and the ladies gang refers to Arjuna. Thar car (chariot) belongs to Geetha TV. In just one frame, Vikram gave a metaphorical reference to Mahabharata. Even Nani’s character name in the film is Parthasarathy which means the charioteer of Arjuna. These aspects make that single shot a memorable one for all the cinephiles.
