Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad received a special honor of ceremonial lighting at the Empire State Building, New York. The world-famous tower lights will shine in the colors of the Indian flag on the night of Aug. 15 to celebrate India’s 75th Independence Day. Composer, lyricist, and singer-songwriter Devi Sri Prasad switched on the ceremonial light of the Tricolor Indian Flag at Empire State Building during a public ceremony. It is also known that DSP has composed the Indian government’s official song Har Ghar Tiranga for the 75th Independence Day.

Devi Sri Prasad also happened to be the first person to sing the Indian National Anthem during the flag hoisting at Times Square in history. The audience cheered on his words of gratitude before the composer moved forward to light up the ceremonial lamp. During this prestigious moment, Devi Sri Prasad expressed his heart-warming emotions on receiving the opportunity.
