“Tortoise” is a unique thriller that will completely engage you in theatres: Hero Raj Tarun at the launch event of “Nee Parichayam” song
Raj Tarun is playing the lead in the upcoming film “Tortoise.” Amrutha Chowdary, Avasarala Srinivas and Dhanya Balakrishna are playing other key roles. The film is being produced by Vijay Chowdary, Shashidhar Nalla and Ramisetty Rambabu under the banners of SK Golden Arts, Prashwitha Entertainment and NVL Creations. Director Rithwik Kumar is helming the film as an intense action thriller that blends suspense and drama. Manasa Kumar and Santhosh Immadi are serving as co-producers.
The film has already attracted attention with its first-look poster. Today, the makers held a grand launch event in Hyderabad for the song “Nee Parichayam” from the movie.
At the event, Lyricist Chandrabose said, “This is a song filled with love, longing and affection. My thanks to Anup for composing this wonderful song and to Chinmayi for singing it so beautifully. Actor Avasarala Srinivas said, “I really like Chinmayi’s voice and Anup’s music. When I heard this song, I understood how important it is to the film. Heroine Amrutha Chowdary said, “I believe all of you have liked the ‘Nee Parichayam’ song. We had a lot of fun while shooting it, and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it. The song was shot in Ravulapalem. The local people showed us so much love throughout the shoot. They would bring us bobbatlu and fish. We experienced their selfless affection firsthand.
“Anup has given us a beautiful song, and I really like Chinmayi. I even asked our producers if Chinmayi could dub for my character because I like her voice so much. They would tell me, ‘But you know Telugu, right?’ I hope you continue to give our movie the same love and support.”
Music director Anup Rubens said, “I believe everyone has liked the song. While working on the background score for the film, I noticed that Amrutha has performed extremely well in this song. Even though this is her first film, she performed as if she had plenty of experience. Congratulations to Amrutha.
“People would not expect my brother Raj Tarun to appear in a character like this. The combination of the four characters played by Raj Tarun, Amrutha, Avasarala Srinivas and Dhanya works very well in the movie. I hope all of you watch and enjoy the film.”
Director Rithwik Kumar said, “I don’t know with what intention Chandrabose garu wrote this song with the words ‘Nee Parichayam,’ but all of us are making our first introductions to the industry in one way or another. We have brought a love element into an extremely exciting thriller and then used it to turn the story back into the thriller zone. Raj Tarun’s character is designed that way, and I believe that is the biggest plus point of the film.
“For Raj Tarun, this movie is his first introduction to this genre. For Amrutha, it is her first film. There are 80 scenes in the movie, and Avasarala Srinivas appears in nearly 70 of them. It is such a full-length role. Dhanya plays a character who believes that a sister-in-law is like a mother. All of them have delivered superb performances.
“The film has come out on another level. You have seen how good the song is; the movie will be even better. Chandrabose has written beautiful lines such as ‘Oopiri Andani Naaku Nuvve Chirugaali…’ and this song reflects the heroine’s character.
“Our three producers are like the Trimurtis of this film. They watched the movie three days ago, hugged me and said that we were going to score a hit. I told them to get the houseful boards ready.
“Imagine what it would be like if films like Bommarillu and Majili were made as thrillers that is what our Tortoise is like. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat throughout the film. There are five twists in the story, and a major twist will be revealed approximately every 25 minutes like a bomb going off. Nobody will be able to predict these five twists, and audiences will be completely excited.
“This is the heroine’s character song. Next, we will release the hero’s character song. There are three different songs in our movie, and you can consider all three to be like Mount Everest.”
