Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy had recently made headlines with its entry into the Oscar’ in the best foreign-language film category. The cast of the film, as well as the fans, were elated with this development. Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and the team had also expressed their excitement on social media for this feat.
The final shortlists have been announced for 92 nd Academy Awards in nine categories. But the latest development is, that the film has unfortunately not made it to the top 10 list of the film category and thus, is out of the Oscar league now. This has come as a saddening news for fans and cast alike. Gully Boy was the most loved movies of this year, sadly couldn’t make it’s way to Oscar’s. While films like Czech The Painted Bird (Czech Republic), Les Misérables (France), Atlantics (Senegal) and others were in the list of the International Feature Film category.
The Oscars will be held on Feb 9 in Los Angeles.
